This month we are learning about Hope Castle in history. We took a walk to see the castle and compare it to the old photos we have been studying. While we were there, we took a nature walk and collected leaves, conkers and acorns. We took our natural treasures back to school to create some beautiful nature mandalas together.

Maths Week is off to a great start in First Class. The children explored mini smarties, counting them up and comparing them to see who had more or less. They had to work hard to share them evenly between the class! There was lots of chat and discussion. I think the best idea 💡 came when we brainstormed how to share the odd groups and they decided to give the odd sweet to Múinteoir Amy! ☺️
