Biodiversity and Playtime

natalie6135

Junior Infants and Senior Infants explored the theme of Biodiversity through their playtime.

We set up a farm, a garden centre and a vegetable patch. We practiced planting fruit and vegetables in soil and made sure to give them what they needed - water, light and time.

We played with soil and discussed the things that grow and live in it and even planted some real flower seeds.

Our farm celebrated the importance of biodiversity. Farms are mini ecosystems filled with animals, plants, insects, and food production, making them perfect for exploring how living things interact. We learned about different farm animals and how farm animals help people, where would we be without cows for milk!
